Beyond Gender Gap: Illusion of Inclusion in Sweden and the Nordic countries (part 1)

Sweden has long been perceived as one of the most progressive countries when it comes to “equality”, and in 2020 Sweden was ranked 1st in the Gender Equality Index. In this session, we will discuss the current state, benefits, and practices of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) in Sweden and the Nordics. We will also cover how an intersectional perspective might completely change our understanding of Swedenʼs position in understanding “equality”, particularly for minorities –  including the LGBTQIA+ population.
