BOXED: An Immersive LGBTQ+ Exhibition — 4 Days Only in Malmö

For four days this March, Malmö becomes home to one of Europe's most powerful LGBTQ+ exhibitions.

BOXED has moved thousands of visitors in Berlin, Paris, and Amsterdam, and now, in partnership with Malmö Pride, it's coming to us.

Step inside seven black boxes and come face to face with real stories from LGBTQ+ people living under repression in Russia today. Stories of fear and survival, but also of joy, love, and resilience.

"That's exactly how LGBTIQ people in Russia feel today: trapped in a small, airless box." — Anna Narinskaya, BOXED curator.

Curated by Anna Narinskaya, BOXED is organized by EqualPostOst, a human rights organization supporting LGBTQ+ people at risk across Eastern Europe and Central Asia, together with Malmö Against the War, and proudly supported by Malmö Pride.

Entry is free. Donations go directly to supporting LGBTQ+ people at risk.

STPLN, Malmö March 19-22, 2026

The programme includes panel talks, artistic performances, interactive elements, and DJs. Full programme at boxed-malmo.se.

Three genre bending, transfeminine musicans are on tour from the UK and will be playing Malmo on 3rd May. Prepare yourself for a night of weird, electronic music from:

Floralis: Floralis is a leftist political trans artist/producer who incorporates elements of hip hop and post punk into her bizarre blend of political electro punk. Floralis’s lyricism covers topics around colonialism, the rights of sex workers, and the structural violence of transmisogyny. For fans of: Bjork, Danny Brown, Ada Rook

Dust: Dust's dramatic, theatrical performance blends complex layers of haunting vocals; rich orchestral sounds; analog synthesis; manipulated field recordings; and textural soundscapes, creating unearthly, vertigo-inducing elegies for the climate, connection and queer possibility.

Alison Selby: Alison Selby is a genre-flirting musician from Oslo. Her noise palette takes from sources such as 70s kosmiche, 80s synth-pop and EBM, 90s Warp output, 00s alt/art pop, and 10s post-punk.
